Nakamaru and Koki gasped in shock. Akanishi had just kissed Kame! Before either boy could react, Ueda had jumped out of his seat and was sprinting to the court. Koki sprang from his seat in hot pursuit.

 
Kame gasped as Jin’s lips left his. Hi heart was racing a million miles a second. He felt slightly light-headed. Looking into Jin’s eyes, he could see the shock on Jin’s face as well.

 
Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, Kame noticed a group of people rushing towards them. There was barely contained rage in all the faces he saw.

 
On instinct, Kame grabbed Jin’s hand and started to run.

Jin was in a daze. He had no idea what made him kiss the younger boy. But, boy, was it an electrifying experience! Jin had kissed plenty of people, but none measured to this. Kame’s lips were amazingly soft, and tasted as sweet as marshmallows. Jin licked his lips, trying to chase after Kame’s taste.

 
When he came back to his senses, Jin found himself being dragged across the school. Kame’s hand was holding tightly onto his. He could no longer differentiate if the hammering in his chest was due to Kame’s touch or from their sprint.

 
“Where are we going?” Jin managed to gasp out, tugging Kame’s hand to get his attention.

 
Kame turned around, mouth opening to answer. Something behind made him keep quiet and run even faster.

 
Jin turned his head around, and saw a group of people chasing after them. Leading the pack was Ueda and Kusano, closely followed by Koki and Nakamaru. All four boys looked ready to tear him to pieces.

 
Behind them were Ryo and Yamapi, probably trying to save him. And a little ways behind was a group of student, probably following to watch the show.

 
Jin turned back to the boy in front of him, who was now dragging him up a flight of stairs.

 
Kame ran into a classroom, slamming the door and locking it. As soon as the lock slid into place, Kame and Jin backed away. Within seconds, Ueda was hammering on the door.

 
“Akanishi! You open this door right now! Kame-chan! Come out!!” came the yells. Kame and Jin panted tiredly, eyes looking warily at the shaking door.

 
“Kame-chan?! Come out! It’s not safe with that molester!” Koki shouted, banging his fist on the door.

 
“Senpai! Please come out! We’ll protect you!” Kusano could be heard pleading.

 
“Jin! Don’t come out! Can you hear me? I said, DON’T COME OUT!”

 
“Kame! Open the door!”

 
Jin glanced worriedly at the younger boy. “What are we going to do?”

 
Kame turned to Jin, a shocked expression on his face. “What are we going to do? What are WE going to do? How the hell should I know?! They want to kill you! What the hell were you thinking? How could you! Just now! You! My! I!” Kame flailed.

 
“ARRRGH!” Jin watched as Kame buried his face in his hands, slumping to the ground.

 
“Hey… Are you okay?” Jin asked, kneeling down next to Kame.

 
A sigh replied him. “I’m sorry? I really don’t know what came over me. You just looked so good. I couldn’t help myself,” Jin tried to explain, shaking Kame’s shoulder lightly. “Sorry?”

 
Kame looked up at Jin’s pleading. The older boy looked as if he was about to burst into tears. Kame found his heart skipping a few beats.

 
Kame sighed, poking Jin’s nose. “Was it bad?”

 
Jin gave Kame a confused look. “I meant, was the kiss bad?” Kame elaborated, a blush creeping onto his cheeks.

 
“Eh? No? No!! Of course not! It was great! I want to kiss you even more! I really do! Uhm… can I?” Jin faltered, afraid that he had said too much. Damn, my mouth worked faster than my brain again, he thought, wanting to smack himself really badly.

 
Kame giggled, amused by Jin’s flustered ramblings. He covered his mouth with his hands, muffling his laughter.

 
“What’s so funny,” Jin demanded, pouting. Kame giggled harder.

 
“I’m serious! I want to kiss you again,” Jin stomped his foot. Kame fought to stifle his giggles and put on a serious face.

 
“Kame-chan?!” “Kame-chan!! Answer us!” “Akanishi, if you touch him, you’re even deader than you are now!” the pounding on the door continued.

 
Kame flicked Jin’s nose. “So it wasn’t bad?”

 
Jin shook his head vigorously. “I swear!”

 
Kame smiled shyly. “So can I kiss you again?” Jin asked tentatively.

 
Kame avoided the older boy’s gaze. He cleared his throat. “I guess… Since it wasn’t bad for me either.”

 
“BUT!” Kame’s word stopped Jin from tackling the boy to the ground. “Next time, give me some warning. I almost got a heart attack.”

 
Jin nodded vigorously, a big grin adorning his face. “Can I kiss you now?”

 
Kame ducked his head, and nodded shyly. Jin tilted Kame’s face up and brushed the strands of hair away from his eyes.

 
Kame’s heart pounded in his chest, mesmerized by Jin’s piercing gaze. Time almost stood still as Jin inched closer.

 
Jin’s lips brushed Kame’s lightly before moving away a fraction. Kame’s eyes fluttered shut as he automatically moved closer to Jin. Jin grinned and moved back to capture the younger boy’s lips.

 
Before they could kiss again, the door burst open. A horde of people stumbled in, piled up into a heap.

 
Koki, who was at the bottom of the pile, made a desperate grab at Jin. “Kame-chan! Don’t worry! I’ll save you now!”

 
Ryo smacked Kusano when the younger boy’s struggles elbowed him in the ribs. Yamapi whined, his stomach jabbed by Nakamaru’s knee.

 
“Tat-chan?” Kame asked, surprised to see Ueda standing in front of the pile, unscathed. Ueda ignored Kame, carefully stepping closer to Jin.

 
Jin caught a dangerous glint in Ueda’s eye and quickly scampered behind Kame. Kame stood up, quick to put some distance between Jin and Ueda.

 
“Tat-chan? Tat-chan, talk to me,” Kame pleaded, clasping Ueda’s hands in his.

 
Ueda refused to look away from Jin. “Kame, let go. I’m going to rip him into a million little pieces to feed my dogs.”

 
“But Tat-chan!” Kame protested, tugging at Ueda’s hands.

 
“That’s fair punishment for a kiss thief, isn’t it?” Ueda said in a soft voice, cracking his knuckles.

 
“Go, Ueda!” Koki, Kusano and Nakamaru cheered, still tangled in a heap.

 
Jin gulped, trying to look for an escape route. “Kazu… help?”

 
Ueda raised an eyebrow. “Kazu? What gives you the right to call him Kazu?”

 
Ueda grabbed Jin by the collar and reared his hand back to throw a punch.

 
Kame took an iron grip on Ueda’s arm. “Tat-chan, he can call me anything he wants. Now, please!”

 
“Kame?” Ueda turned a questioning look at his best friend.

 
“I like him, okay! I like him and I don’t want my best friend and the person I like to fight,” Kame shouted, causing everyone to be silent immediately.

 
Koki’s head thunked to the floor. “Nooo…” he whimpered, banging his head a few more times for good measure.

 
“You what?!” Ueda said, temporarily releasing Jin. Jin took the chance to dash behind Kame again.

 
“I,” Kame began, blushing when he realized everyone was listening to his every word. “I like him. Akanishi. I like Akanishi.”

 
“He said it again,” Nakamaru muttered, glancing at Ueda to judge his reaction.

 
Ueda pinched the bridge of his nose. “Are you sure about this?”

 
Kame nodded. “I’m sure, Tat-chan. I really am. I feel doki doki when I see him. I want to see him everyday. I love any interaction with him, even if we fight. You know what I’m talking about, right?”

 
Ueda took a quick glance at Nakamaru before turning back to Kame. “Fine. I won’t kill him. Not today. But if he makes you sad, I’m not letting him get away. No matter what you say, okay?”

 
Kame pouted. “Yes, Tat-chan.” Ueda gave Kame’s hair a ruffle.

 
“That’s it?!” Kusano cried out. “But!”

 
“Kusano, I’m really sure about this, okay?” Kame said gently, kneeling to pat the boy’s head, which was wedged between Yamapi’s right arm and Koki’s shoulder.

 
“One question,” Ryo said, gaining everyone’s attention. He cleared his throat. “You do realize you’re both guys, right?”

 
Jin’s eyes flew open as a number of people’s jaws dropped. “Oh my God! Does that mean I’m GAY?!”

 
“What’s wrong with being gay?” Kame frowned.

 
Jin whirled to face Kame. “You mean you’re gay?!”

 
Kame nodded, not following Jin’s train of thoughts.

 
Jin’s eyes widened even further. “But I’m NOT gay! I like girls! I like boobs! Eh?! I’m gay?!”

 
Kame’s eyes narrowed at Jin’s outburst. “Well, I’m sorry I’m not a girl. And I’m sorry I don’t have boobs,” he said in a measured tone.

 
Jin looked back at Kame. “But you could be a girl? I mean, you’re pretty like that. And your lips are soft like a girl’s too.”

 
Kame clenched his fists at his side. “Well, I’m not. So that’s that. I don’t want to see you ever again! Baka!”

 
And with that Kame ran out of the classroom, stomping on Ryo’s ankle in his haste to exit the room.

 
“Kame!” Ueda called. “I’ll kill you later,” he threatened before rushing after Kame.

 
Jin’s eyes widened when he realized his mistake. “Kazu! I’m sorry!”

 
“If there’s anything left of you when I’m done,” Koki said, finally free of the pile-up.

 
Jin braced himself. Instead of a beating, he found himself yanked backwards.

 
“Sorry, boys. I need him for the game next week in one piece. Tell you what. After the game, I’ll let you do whatever you want with him, deal?” Nagase offered, hanging halfway in from the window.

 
“No. Right now,” Koki replied defiantly.

 
Nagase sighed. “Think about it. It’ll give you the time to think of the many ways to torture or kill him. And you can even ask Kamenashi-kun to give you ideas. He’s the one who’s hurting the most, right?”

 
Koki looked doubtfully at the teacher.

 
“And let’s say Kamenashi-kun doesn’t want him dead. How are you going to revive this idiot then?”

 
Koki scratched his head. “Okay. We’ll talk to Kame-chan first. But you’d better keep your end of the deal. We get him next week, immediately after the game.”

 
Nagase grinned. “Deal! Now, I’ve got to go wake two sleepyheads up.” Nagase waved and disappeared from the window.

 
Jin gulped, finally facing Kame’s angry friends alone again.

 
Koki strode up to the older boy. “Next week. And you better pray Kame-chan is alright. Or you’ll have hell to pay.”

 
“Well, I didn’t promise anything. So he’s mine for now,” Kusano said, launching himself at Jin.

 
Koki grabbed the boy by the neck. “We’ll get him next week. Right now, Kame-chan is more important. Let’s go,” Koki said, motioning for Nakamaru to join them.

 
When everyone had exited the room, Jin collapsed to the ground. “What have I done?”

 
Yamapi was looking at Ryo’s ankle. “We’re going to have to forfeit the game. There’s no way you’re going to be able to play with this ankle.”

 
Jin turned to his best friends. “What have I done?”

 
Ryo gave Jin a scathing look. “You screwed up. That’s what you’ve done. Now you have to fix it.”

 
Ryo limped out of the classroom, supported by Yamapi.

 
“And just so you know? I’m gay too,” Ryo said quietly, sparing Jin a final glance before leaving.

 
Jin felt helpless, alone in the classroom. His breath caught in his throat when he thought back to the look of hurt and betrayal in Kame’s eyes earlier.

 
“I’m sorry, Kazu. I’m so sorry.”
